2008 Family/Private Agricultural Use John and
Judy Seeber Barn Middleville
As fewer heritage barns remain in use for
active agriculture, this barn built in the late 1800s is an attention-getter. It
bears the Indian name, "Algonquin Farm" on the roof, the name given registered
Holstein cattle raised there. The barn features a hand-hewn 60' beam that is the
same dimensions on both ends. It also contains an 80' hay track, which once
moved hay into the mow for storage. Much of the barn is original.
